Kosher Disney World Snacking Coffee and Eating Outside the Parks

Some Options of Ice Cream and Ices at Walt Disney World

While you won’t be able to partake of the famous turkey leg or funnel cake while wandering around Epcot there are a lot of other snacks that are kosher throughout the parks that can whet your appetite.

Disney is really good about keeping reference material on the ingredients included in items, which includes the kosher symbol in many cases. (This is also great if a member of your party has food allergies or sensitivities.) There are many vendors throughout the parks that serve kosher items including ice cream (Edys® in the case of fresh scooped ice cream, and Good Humor for some of the bars) and Minute Maid© Frozen Ices.  In fact, the famous Mickey Bar (vanilla ice cream bar covered in chocolate) is kosher as well! You must check carefully however, since not all flavors served in the carts are kosher.  It is also worth noting that many carts throughout the part have fresh fruit available including: bananas, oranges, and apples.

Starbucks at Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World

Additionally, Starbucks® recently opened up in all four parks and at Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney).  All of the Starbucks are “Table Service” stores in the context of the CRC’s and Star-K’s definition in their guide to kosher in Starbucks. So, if that is how you hold when it comes to kosher make sure to take that into account regarding what you are willing to drink.  Other than Starbucks, throughout Disney they serve. Many, if not all, favors under the OU, but refer to the OU website to confirm on a product by product basis.

Other than Starbucks, throughout Disney they serve Joffrey’s Coffee and Tea. Many, if not all, flavors are certified by the OU, but refer to the OU website to confirm on a product by product basis.

Erin McKenna’s Bakery NYC is also certified under the Florida K and can be found at Disney Spring as well as The Gardens Kiosk at Disney’s Animal Kingdom  (Chocolate Chip Cookies, Mini Brownie Cupcakes) and the following Disney Resorts:

  • The Beach Club Marketplace at Disney’s Beach Club Resort.
*Chocolate Chip Cookies, Cinnamon Sugar Donuts, Chocolate Dipped Donuts, Mini Brownie Cupcakes.
  • The Boardwalk Bakery at Disney’s Boardwalk.
    *Mini Brownie Cupcakes.
  • The Mara at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
    *Mini Brownie Cupcakes.
  • Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.
    *Mini Brownie Cupcakes.
  • Everything Pop at Disney’s Pop Century Resort.
    *Mini Brownie Cupcakes.

There is a Starbucks, as well as a Haggen-Dazs available for a coffee or snack at Disney Springs

Other Eating in Orlando/Kissimmee

While the kosher food in the park is certainly filling, sometimes you may want to venture outside of WDW or want a wider variety of kosher options.  Luckily Orlando has a few actual kosher dining options within short driving distance.  This includes both restaurants as well as supermarkets with kosher sections.  Within a short driving distance there are some Winn-Dixies, and Publix (Publixes? Publi? Publixes? More than 1 Publix, whatever that is) with kosher sections that are stocked with some packaged kosher foods including deli. (While not helpful for a quick meal, my wife is insisting that I give a shout-out to Publix mac and cheese. It’s worth it to bring home a box.) We highly recommend checking out the Kosher Restaurant GPS app for up to date kosher restaurants in the Orlando area, but as of press time kosher restaurants available in the nearby driving area include:
